Tenge deposit protection program – payment of compensation in the amount of 10%
To receive compensation, you must have a valid deposit in tenge as of February 23, 2022 with the validity of this deposit until February 24, 2023.
In case of early closing of the deposit before February 24, 2023, the deposit is automatically excluded from the Program.
Compensation will be paid to depositors who have confirmed their consent no later than February 10, 2023.
Applications can be filed in the personal cabinet of the Altyn-i application in the section Menu – Applications – History – Deposits – Continue. Read the consent form and the Rules, confirm with a one-time password that will be sent to your phone (you can make a video with the placement)

Fill in the online application for opening a deposit – specify your personal data and deposit parameters
If you do not have the “Altyn-i” card, a bank representative will deliver the agreement and the card for free
Replenish the contribution (deposit) in the mobile application, by bank transfer or in cash through terminals
Press “Register deposit” in the personal account in Section “Deposits”. An application for deposit opening will open, and you have to select terms applicable for you, and fill in all the fields. Pay attention to the following fields when opening a deposit:
Deposit payment period (days) – means that the deposit will be paid upon the expiration of 30 calendar days in case of premature termination, or immediately – if 0 is provided.
Accrual of interests in case of premature termination – if 0 % is provided, all the accrued/capitalized remuneration is deducted from the deposit amount, and all the remunerations are cancelled. If a rate equal to percent rate is provided, the remuneration is paid for actual term of deposit placement at the specified rate.

In your personal account, go to the Deposits section. Select the deposit you need, press the Partial withdrawal function and transfer money to your debit card. You can withdraw cash at the ATM.

Capitalization is a periodic adding of interest to the deposit, that is, the addition of interest on interest.
Automatic prolongation of the deposit is possible if the client when signing the agreement, checked the Prolongation box. If the client has not fixed the prolongation, then on the day the agreement expires, the money from the deposit will immediately be transferred to the client’s account.

Commission fee for the transfer is established by the sending bank or service. There is no commission fee for incoming payment in our bank.

Transfers between the cards of any banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan: cashless transfer in tenge and US dollars via Internet service or using bank machines of the banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The transfer is carried out only if the cards are available, by the way of transfer from any Bank card to the Altyn-I card.
The amount of transfer shall not exceed the amount equal to 2,500 US dollars per one-time transfer, and shall not exceed the amount in tenge equal to 10,000 US dollars per day according to the current rate of exchange. Individual bank limits can be set individually in relation to the amount and number of transfers. Commission fee during transfer using Internet service of our bank: 1 % of the transfer amount (minimum 250 tenge).
- Prompt transfer “Suńqar”: can be carried out in tenge using telephone number from the CenterCredit Bank (on a free basis) and Eurasian Bank (commission fee is equal to 250 tenge). Maximum amount is equal to 500,000 tenge per day and for one-time transaction.
- International SWIFT transfer: without limitations on the transfer amount, in any currency, and from any country. The transfer commission fee is established by the sending bank or service. To carry out transfer, current accounts shall be available for sending and receipt. See our bank details for transfer receipt in Section “Cashless transfer”.
Pay attention to the following fields when opening a deposit:

Notification of a new procedure for payment of the guarantee compensation
The Bank hereby informs its personal customers with whom it has concluded a bank account and/or bank deposit agreement (hereinafter referred to as – the depositors) of the introduction of a new procedure for payment of the guarantee compensation in the event that the Bank is deprived of its license to conduct all banking operations.
The new procedure for payment of the guarantee compensation shall apply to the depositors:
with whom the Bank has concluded bank account and/or bank deposit agreements after 30 April 2021, and
for whom the validity term of the previously concluded bank account and/or bank deposit agreements was extended for another term from 1 May 2021.
The new procedure for payment of the guarantee compensation provides two ways of obtaining the guarantee compensation by the depositors: (1) in the agent bank and (2) electronically via the electronic payment portal of Kazakhstan Deposit Insurance Fund JSC (hereinafter referred to as – the KDIF) or the web portal of the “electronic government”. In this case, the period of payment of the guarantee compensation shall be restricted to one year from the date of commencement of payment.
The KDIF will inform the depositors of the date of commencement of guarantee compensation payments, specifying the list of agent banks, the period and places of payments, within thirty-five working days from the date of withdrawal of the Bank’s license to conduct all banking operations.
If the depositors do not apply for obtaining the guarantee compensation after one year from the date of commencement of payments, the KFGD will transfer the amounts not being claimed by them to their accounts in the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund as voluntary pension contributions.

The new procedure for payment of the guarantee compensation will be applied to the guarantee compensation payments for deposits of the banks whose licenses to conduct all banking operations have been withdrawn after May 1, 2021, as well as the banks, for the deposits of which the guarantee compensation payment is being made and for which the expiry date of the guarantee compensation payment is set until May 1, 2022.
The maximum amount of the payable guarantee compensation is:
20 million tenge for savings deposits (deposits) in national currency;
10 million tenge for cards, accounts and other deposits in national currency;
5 million tenge for cards, accounts and deposits in foreign currency (equivalent to the exchange rate at the date of withdrawal of the bank’s license).

Starting from February 24, 2023, you can partially withdraw money, terminate the deposit (according to the terms of the agreement) that participates in the program. The amount of compensation is fixed for the period from February 23, 2022 to February 23, 2023 inclusive.
- Fixed-term and savings deposits placed in tenge, which had current deposits as of 23.02.2022 with the condition until 23.02.2023, inclusive
- The rules for the payment of compensation do not apply to current and card accounts, as well as to demand deposits and conditional deposits, as well as deposits in foreign currency.
– Compensation will be paid after 23.02.2023
– Payment of compensation will be made to depositors, residents and non-residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan provided that the term of the deposit has not expired, or has been extended one or more times until 23.02.2023, inclusive.
– In case of full withdrawal, early closing of the deposit in the period from February 24, 2022 to February 23, 2023, compensation is not paid.

Example of compensation calculation, in case of partial withdrawal:
23.02.22 – balance of the deposit 100,000 tenge
18.04.22 – partial withdrawal from the deposit in the amount of 60,000 tenge, balance of the deposit is 40,000 tenge
20.06.22 – replenishment by 500,000 tenge, balance of the deposit is 540,000 tenge
The compensation payment date is 23.02.2023 – the minimum balance for the entire period of the deposit is taken – in this example, it is 40,000 tenge and 10% compensation is charged on the minimum balance amount, that is, 4,000 tenge.
– It is necessary to submit statement of consent to receive compensation by contacting the branches of the Bank or in the personal cabinet of the Altyn-I service before February 10, 2023, in the required form. Depositors who do not submit the statement of consent will not be compensated.
– Mandatory condition for the accrual of compensation is the preservation of the deposit until 23.02.2023, inclusive.
– If the deposit expires before 23.02.2023, then it can be extended at the request of the client.

– from the date of entry into force of the Rules for the payment of compensation, all deposits that fall under the Rules are prolonged by the Bank in accordance with the terms of the agreement, in accordance with the Rules
– Money on a deposit that was valid at the end of the trading day on February 23, 2022, the term of which expired and was not extended from February 24, 2022 to October 1, 2022 inclusive, with the consent of the depositor, is placed on a new deposit at least up to February 23, 2023 inclusive, provided that after the expiration of the deposit, which was valid at the end of the trading day on February 23, 2022 and before the placement on a new deposit, the money was not:
seized by the depositor (depositor);
converted into foreign currency.
Example:
The client has a deposit for a period of 3 months, when the client submits an application for auto prolongation, the deposit will be extended every three months until the due date for payment of compensation on 23.02.2023. Further, according to the terms of the contract, the client, if desired, can again stop the auto-renewal; use the deposit, or close the deposit ahead of schedule.
- If a depositor has two or more deposits in one bank, compensation is accrued on all deposits, the maximum amount on all deposits for calculating and paying compensation is 20 million tenge, the maximum amount of compensation, respectively, is 2 million tenge. If the client has deposits of 20 million tenge in several banks, then the client will receive compensation of 2 million tenge in each bank where he has a deposit.
– Payment of compensation will be made at the expense of budgetary funds.
– Compensation will be credited to the current accounts of depositors.
