Altyn Bank entered to the international lending market

“Altyn Bank JSC financed Belinvestbank JSC (Belarus) in the amount of 3.5 million Euros within the syndicated loan. The transaction was organized by the Eurasian Development Bank as a credit manager and a participating bank. Also JSC „Joint-Stock Commercial Bank „Novikombank“ (Russia), TRANSCAPITALBANK Public Joint-Stock Company (Russia) were included in the interbank syndicate.

The total loan amount for one year was 20 million Euros. The funds will be used to finance the trading contracts of Belinvestbank’s clients related to the supply of goods, equipment and services from Russia to Belarus.

“”We are interested in placing currency liquidity in international markets and plan to develop this area. This is our first transaction within the framework of the syndicated lending at the interstate level and this experience will be very useful for us,“ said Marat Almenov, Chairman of the Management Board of Altyn Bank.

“”The Eurasian Development Bank has now served for the first time the organizer of the syndicated loan, and it is of great importance for us that the banks of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia have gathered under our “umbrella“. It is also important that the allocated funds will be used to finance the movement of goods and services between the EDB states,” said Dmitry Ladikov-Roev, Asset and Liability Managing Director of the Eurasian Development Bank.

“”The attraction of the syndicated loan was another step in the diversification of the resource base of Belinvestbank. In addition, the further development of cooperation with international financial institutions makes it possible to attract additional resources to the economy of Belarus, including for the development of small and medium-sized businesses in our country, the segment which should be one of the economic growth drivers in the future,“ says Andrei Brishtelev, Chairman of the Board of Belinvestbank JSC.
